Chicago, IL – Sabin has launched six products that exude the company’s vision of creating meticulously designed, intuitive acoustic lighting products. Each product line complements one another while allowing for endless design combinations - specifiable in an array or as individual units.

Each product displays a clean and classic form engineered with precision and creativity. Sabin has taken simple forms, from straight lines to triangles, and engineered them with a sewn construction to complement each other systematically while fitting the design and technical needs of any space.

“We’ve created products that serve all designers on a project, covering various aspects across color, lighting, spatial composition, and acoustic design. We’ve built our factory and processes specifically for the materials of acoustic lighting, and that dedication shows in the craft of the product,” stated Wes Cox, co-founder and CPO of Sabin.

As with all Sabin products, the latest introduction, Tri, is a simple, versatile, and dynamic design tool. With a triangular form and rounded corners, it delivers excellent acoustic performance while distributing sufficient lighting levels. The rounded edges of Tri, its scalability, and its wide range of color options make it an exciting product to work with and an ideal choice for use in active areas like lobbies, hallways, and transitional spaces. 

Soon after the company’s inception, Sabin launched with three products in 2021: Linear, Block, and Cylinder.

Linear, a new take on a classic linear baffle, brings structure to open spaces and elegantly adapts to deliver maximum sound absorption with minimal intrusion. Uniquely designed to complement each other in an array and offered at a competitive cost, Linear 9, the thinnest baffle in the portfolio, Linear 27, an unlit baffle, and Linear 60, available in lit and unlit units, paired together add depth and structure to any space. 

Block, a versatile rectilinear unit, delivers a satisfying spatial hierarchy depending on the needs of the space. Block can bring consistency with grid-like patterns, or imbue a dynamic design expression through irregular groupings. The rectangular product lends well as small clusters over tables and seating areas to large floor-wide field arrays. 

Cylinder is an approachable, malleable system designed to dramatically maximize on scale and variety. The casual and soft-structured luminaire demonstrates a primitive form with high performance lighting.  

Sabin followed its initial launch by releasing two more product family systems – Quad and Layer – each very distinct from the other.

Quad was designed to ground a space with its unique form – a round cuboid.  It can stand as a single pendant or within an array; its tangent planes intuitively register off one another, allowing for endless configuration. The company’s signature sewn construction eliminates the multiple parts, extra processes, and complex assembly usually required to achieve this rounded edge and unique shape. 

Layer, a scalable, thin, and simple tool, designed for forming planes and activating spaces. Rightly named, based on its design intent to easily layer into a wide scope of spaces and with other Sabin products, creating visual hierarchy. Its forms can be stacked and scattered throughout a space to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for any interior environment. It is offered in customizable dimensions and offset luminaire placements. 

All products lines are available with lit and unlit units and customizable options such as lumen output levels, material colors for exterior, interior, trim accents, and cord and hardware color options. Each Sabin product utilizes polyethylene terephalate (PET) felt, curated with intention - all polyester acoustic felt material is SCS recycled content certified, available in 9mm and 1.5mm, and a broad range of color options.  

Sabin is setting a new standard - elevating acoustic luminaire solutions with meticulous engineering and design while reducing noise and delivering optimal illumination.
